MOSAIC

The "MOSAIC" Senior High program is for teens in 9th through 12th grades. They meet in the Flame Room Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30 pm. They follow a lesson/small group format, also allowing time for service projects and special outings. Mosaic also meets periodically on Sunday evenings.

Theme & Verse

We are excited for another year of learning and growing together in Christ! Our youth group theme is "MOSAIC" which stands for "Meeting One-another Sharing Acceptance in Christ." We are all broken pieces of different sizes, shapes, colors, and when we come together in Christ, He forms us into a beautiful work of art! Our theme verse comes from 1 Corinthians 12:27, "Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it."

Building relationships in Christ

Mission Statement

To love and affirm one another in Christ.

Goal

To help teens find and know their true identity in Jesus Christ.

Amy Sluiter-Program Director

Amy Sluiter Amy Sluiter is our High School Youth Director and has been in the youth ministry at Haven since June of 1996. "During this time," she says, "it has been incredible to see God working in the lives of many youth. God has proven me over and over again that He is faithful and His promises are true. All of my faith is in Jesus Christ, my hope and my reason for living and doing youth ministry."

She says her goal is to help as many people as she can to come know Jesus and live an abundant life in Him so that we can look forward to an eternity of joy together in Heaven.

One of her favorite verses is Philippians 3:12 "Not that I have already obtained this or have already reached the goal; but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own."

Amy was born and raised in Zeeland, MI, and has a teaching degree from Calvin College. She lives with her husband Brent, two daughters, Anna and Rylee and son Noah.

“Understanding our identity in Christ
is absolutely essential for our success
at living a victorious Christian life!”

(From Living Free in Christ by Neil T. Anderson)
