Student Ministries Director

The Student Ministries Director helps provide for the spiritual guidance and growth of Haven youth - 6th grade through high school - through fellowship, discipleship, prayer, and service.

Duties and Responsibilities include: Growing in relationship with Christ and demonstrating the love of Christ to the students and leaders. Organizing and leading middle school and high school gatherings, also working with the Pastor of Teaching to develop curriculum. Planning and attending all retreats, events, and summer trips. Work with middle school and high school youth group leaders, recruiting, training, equipping, and praying for each team member.  Build relationships with parents, maintaining good communication and promoting parent participation. Connect with students through church, school, and community events, making sure each student feels individually valued. Develop relationships and network with area Student Ministry Leaders.

Qualifications: A person of high moral integrity, with a desire to serve our Lord, while having a passion for youth. Possess excellent relational skills and be enthusiastic, energetic, and joyful.  Experience in planning, organizing, and implementing youth or other group activities successfully.  A member of Haven CRC or become a member upon employment.  Bachelor's degree in Student Ministries, education in a related field, or applicable experience.

Schedule: The position is a full time, 40 hour per week position.  Given the nature of youth group meetings, sunday services, and mission trips, the regular schedule will include some nights and weekends.

Salary: The salary will be commensurate with education and experience.

Haven offers ministries for children, students, adults, worship, care, and outreach.  Our membership is approximately 535 with Sunday attendance around 325.  

Our student ministry size is 35 - 40 middle school students, 25 high school students, and 10 adult leaders.  

Haven Student Ministries is a ministry that matters, is in a healthy team setting, with room to lead and create, provides a strong local network, and is a place to grow personally.
