Our Mission Statement

Christ’s disciples…growing…living…making Him known.

Christ's Disciples

Being a disciple of Christ first of all requires our grateful acceptance of Christ’s redeeming love for us individually, as my Lord and Savior. Being a disciple of Christ involves a lifelong process of growing in our faith. We are taught by Jesus’ example to live out that faith. By living out our faith, we make Christ known to those around us.

Growing

No matter which phase of our life on earth we are currently in, we strive to be continually growing in our faith. This involves studying God’s instruction for our lives as found in His Holy Word. This instruction is offered to us in many ways-- through prayer, corporate worship, individual devotions, and Christian learning opportunities that are available to us. We are continually learning how to be more of a disciple and follower of Christ’s teachings. We are allowing the Holy Spirit to work in our hearts and lives, shaping and molding us to be more like Jesus.

Living

Our grateful acceptance of what Christ has done for us prompts us to live out our faith and reflect God’s love for us, each and every day. We strive to encourage each other through prayer, fellowship, praise, and testimony. By living out our faith, we are modeling Jesus and pointing the way to a gracious and loving God.

Making Him Known

By living out our faith, we are making Christ known to those around us….not just by our words, but by our actions and reactions.    This encompasses our family members, church, community, and the world.

What We Believe

HAVEN CHRISTIAN REORMED CHURCH

The Lord our God is one, perfect in love and holiness, righteous in all His ways, and sovereign over all (Deut. 6:4).

The Lord our God exists eternally in all three persons of the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (John 1:1, Acts 5:3-4, Matt. 28:19).

Both the Old and New Testaments of the Bible are divinely inspired, truthful, authoritative, the only written Word of God, without error, and the only infallible rule for faith and practice

(2 Tim. 3:16).

After God created man in His image, Adam sinned and consequently experienced both physical and spiritual death, which is separation from God. As a result, all people are born with a sinful nature and, apart from Jesus Christ, are eternally lost.

Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Him

(John 14:6).

Jesus Christ is the head of the Church, which is His body (Eph. 5:23).

God gives spiritual gifts to each and every believer that are to be used for the common good

(1 Cor. 12:7).

As each member of the body of Christ serves in a manner that honors Christ and harmonizes with his or her spiritual gifts, the Church is built up in love

(Eph. 4:1-16).

The Holy Spirit convicts people of sin (John 16:8-11), regenerates (Ti. 3:5) and indwells

(1 Cor. 6:19) those who repent and believe, and energizes believers to witness and serve with love and power (Acts 1:8, 1 Cor. 12:7-11).

Jesus commands us to make disciples of all nations (Mt. 28:16-20).

Jesus Christ will come again (Acts 1:11)!

Questions we hear often:

"What time does Worship begin?"

Our Sunday morning service begins at 10:00 AM and lasts approximately one hour. We recommend you arrive a little early to familiarize yourself with Haven and grab a cup of coffee. We also offer seating in The Harbor during the spring, summer, and fall months. The Harbor is located directly east of the Worship Center. It is set up with a video and audio feed live from the Worship Center. It is a more relaxed venue. If you can't join us in person we welcome you to join via our livestream here.
